Satan Island is one of the islands located in the Mandeh Tourism Object, Koto XI Tarusan District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. Hearing the name, maybe we think it's scary and scary. But the reality is not.
Even though the name is creepy, when it comes to this island, it makes you feel at home and fall in love. The image of mystical and spooky things like the name will be denied because this island presents a beautiful view and is far from being haunted. According to information from a number of local people, the original name of the island is Sultan Island. However, due to the confusion of the local residents' tongues, the sultan's name turned into a devil.
Currently, Satan Island is one of the tourist paradises in the Pesisir Selatan Regency, especially as a whole the Mandeh Area tourist attraction has clusters and similarities with beautiful islands such as Raja Ampat in West Papua. Satan Island has easy access. To reach this island, visitors usually rent a boat. From the city of Padang, take a road trip to Pesisir Selatan, to be precise in Carocok, Tarusan.
In Carocok, you will be greeted in a friendly manner by local youth who offer a boat or boat to take you around several islands. You only need to pay IDR 500,000-750,000 depending on the number of areas you want to visit. Usually the objects offered are Satan Island, Sironjong Gadang, Sironjong Ketek, Mangorve Forest, to the Sei Gemuruh waterfall.
