Tanjungpinang, Kepri - The flood disaster that occurred on Saturday (02/01/2021) experienced by residents in Puspandari Housing and Elang Indonesia Tanjungpinang Timur housing, left a new problem, namely the difficulty of getting clean water to meet their daily needs, namely for bathing, cooking and washing because almost all houses rely on wells to meet their daily needs for clean water.
Responding to this situation, Monday (04/01/2021) Tanjungpinang Timur Police, led directly by the Head of Police, AKP Firuddin, collaborated with the company PT. Panca Rasa Pratama (PT. PRP), move quickly so that residents of the community do not have difficulty meeting their clean water needs by distributing 2 (two) 10,000 liters of clean water in Elang Indonesia housing and Puspandari housing, Kel. Batu IX, Tanjungpinang Timur.
Apart from distributing clean water, personnel from the Tanjungpinang Timur Police, Tanjungpinang Police on the occasion also helped clean up the residual mud from the floods, some of which had not been cleaned from the houses of the flooded residents.
The distribution of clean water of approximately 10,000 liters and assistance to clean up the remaining floods received an enthusiastic welcome from the affected community members and experienced the flood disaster that occurred on Saturday yesterday and hope that in the future there will be other residents who intend to help distribute clean water until the situation is right. back to normal as before and well water can be used again.
Kapolres Tanjungpinang AKBP Fernando, S.H, S.I.K., through the Head of the Tanjungpinang Timur Police, AKP Firuddin said that the clean water distribution activity was a form of concern for the personnel of the Tanjungpinang Timur Police, Tanjungpinang Police and PT. PRP, although the amount and value is not that big, is expected to be able to help the difficulties experienced by the community in meeting their needs for clean water after the floods, especially in the two houses that experienced severe flooding.
"We also urge the public to continue to comply with the Health Protocol set by the Government, which is to use a mask, maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters, always wash hands with soap in running water and avoid crowds", he concluded.
