Dozens of plants along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin, Central Jakarta have been installed with barcodes by the Jakarta City Park and Forest Service. This barcode is a means of educating the public, Sunday (3/1).
Head of the Green Line Division of the City Parks and Forestry Department of DKI Jakarta, Firdaus Rasyid Ratu Agung said, later on, people would find it easier to find out what types of plants there are. There are at least 35 types of plants along the Sudirman-Thamrin road.
"The barcode scans are connected directly to the web link of the City Park and Forest Service. Later, a description of the types of plants and other information will be seen. This will facilitate education to the public regarding the types of plants in the capital city of Jakarta," he said, Sunday (3/1).
After the barcode installation on the green line is complete, it will also be installed on large trees in the green lane to make it easier for officers to identify trees.
"We urge people to take care of plants because trees and beauty belong to us together," he said.
